Overview

Established for over 50 years and winner of the House Builder of the Year Award at the Housebuilder Awards 2014 & 2016 along with numerous other awards in 2017 from recognised bodies, our modern and innovative client are expanding throughout the South East.

They are currently looking for an area Build Manager to manage multiple developments in the M3 corridor, including Surrey and Hampshire incorporating bespoke and highly technical builds on a large scale.

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role where you have been managing multi-site environments, led large teams of trade people and produced high quality residential schemes.

The Role

You will be involved in programming, establishing a timeline which will guarantee a production rate in line with forecast and budget as well as available trades. You will be managing the budgets, build quality and Health and Safety across the schemes, working closely with the wider team to ensure complete compliance and acting as the escalation point for any issues arising from site managers or project managers.

In this role you will also be assisting the Land department in identifying, scoping out and securing land for further development. You will be involved in forecasting and budgeting and maintaining a detailed understanding of the technical site and design requirements across the sites you are managing. You will work to ensure current schemes and programmes reflect company wide growth and delivery plans, as well as forecasting and pre-planning for the future of the group.

It is paramount that you operate and control the sites strictly in accordance with the agreed Method Statement and Health and Safety Plan as required by the CDM Regulations.

Essential Skills

·         Project Management

·         Multi-site management experience

·         Solid construction experience, ideally within a main housebuilder

·         A background as a Site Manager

·         Exceptional leadership and management skills

·         Good IT skills with knowledge of specific build and project management platforms and industry relevant software

·         Strong technical understanding with the ability to interpret and understand CAD and hand drafted plans and drawings
